Отрывок позаимствован из замечательного научно-фантастического романа Владимира Афанасьевича Обручева "Плутония". Если вы его не читали, то обязательно стоит это сделать. Хоть роман и фантастический, но Камчатка там вполне реальная. Именно такой она была в начале ХХ века.

Сейчас уже не будет никакой пустынной Авачинской бухты, чтобы не белел ни один парус. Парусов, может быть, и нет, но давно уже Петропавловск-Камчатский перестал быть крохотным поселением.

Кстати, вот одно из мест на планете, которое бы лично я хотел посетить. Не сам город посмотреть, а увидеть именно природу этого изумительного края, с его вулканами и гейзерами. Даст бог, может и получится, благо теперь туда не надо снаряжать экспедицию, достаточно обратиться в турбюро.
